In the Figaro, the prime minister says he knows people will complain if the main two-lane highway speed limit is lowered from 90 kph to 80 kph (56 mph to 50 mph) :
In the middle of the article, there’s an ad for the Citroën 2CV, a car that was introduced at the 1948 Paris Monde de l’Automobile show and manufactured until 1990.
One has to ask: if reducing highway fatalities is a priority, how is it that these cars are still legal to drive?
